Principal investigator of over 40 clinical trials during my tenure at Johns Hopkins and Yale, most investigator-initiated trials focusing on new imaging technology, devices, drugs and translation from bench to the clinic. Interventional radiologist specialized in oncology an expert in cancer drugs and devices. As a result, I have witnessed successes and failures, clinical trials that have led to FDA approval and some that directly ended a product. Founder of a start-up venture out of Johns Hopkins for a drug that targets the metabolism of tumors. Uniquely positioned to understand the steps required to bring a new drug from bench to clinic. Because of my many administrative roles understand health care from insurance negotiations to outpatient/inpatient medicine. Special expertise in imaging technology, also ideally suited to evaluate the potential benefit and promises of AI in health care.
